The World Bank eLibrary offers many time-saving tools and features to make accessing and using World Bank content as quick, easy, and efficient as possible.
New! Downloadable Data from World Development Indicators
Now you can find both World Bank publications and data on countries and regions in the World Bank eLibrary without having to leave the site. Approximately 50 of the most popular indicators for each country and region from World Development Indicators have been added as a convenience for researchers
Data is categorized into five themes: Population, Environment, Economy, States and Markets, andGlobal Links (including trade, migration and remittances, financial aid and direct foreign investment). You can also select up to five years to compare and download the results. To access the data, browse by Region or Country and look for the link to “View More Data” in the World Development Indicators box in the top right hand corner. See a sample here. More data and functionality will be added in the future.
New! eBooks in Full text (HTML)
All eBooks since 2014 are now available to eLibrary subscribers as full text without the need to download a PDF or ePub. Simply look for the Full Text links in search and browse results, and in book chapter lists (TOCs). This new feature includes options to enlarge tables and figures for easier viewing, and the ability to scroll through all figures and tables within the chapter. Handy up and down arrows and a drop down menu allow readers to jump to the next chapter heading or other parts of the chapter using. Linked chapter-level metadata is displayed as well as references linking when available. See a sample of a chapter here.
